MAST-207 - VENIPUNCTURE/PHLEBOTOMY WITH AFFILIATION (7 WEEKS)  1 credit
This course is formulated to assist and prepare the Nuclear Medicine student with the understanding and specific skills necessary in the performance of venipuncture/phlebotomy procedures to withdraw a specimen of blood for diagnostic testing, as well as instilling a medication, contrast medium or diagnostic radiopharmaceutical. Lectures and on-campus laboratory sessions will be supplemented with hospital laboratory experience aimed at high quality collection of diagnostic blood specimens. COREQUISITE: MAST-207L RESTRICTED TO: DMIN program.
