- NURS-099 - BASIC MEDICATION CALCULATIONS-WILL NOT BE OFFERED AFTER SPRING 07 3 credits

This course contains five separate modules: (1) arithmetic review of
fractions and decimals, (2) systems of measurement and measurement equivalents,
(3) dimensional analysis, (4) nonparenteral drug doses, and (5) parenteral drug
dosages. All students will take math placement tests and, based on test results,
will be offered the option of challenge exams for the first two modules.
Regardless of math placement results, all students must successfully complete
the final three modules and receive a grade of 90% or better on the final exam
to meet the prerequisites for admission into the nursing program.
This is a developmental course. Credit for this course will not be counted toward fulfilling graduation requirements at STCC.
