SPAN-121 - ELEMENTARY SPANISH 1  3 credits
This course introduces the student to the basic grammatical structure of the Spanish language, with emphasis on pronunciation and Latin American culture. Intense oral drills review vocabulary used in real life situations and cultural themes connected with the Hispanic world. A contrast between English and Spanish and the use of cognates. Increases comprehension and vocabulary. PREREQUISITES: Placement at ENGL-100 or its equivalent or permission of the instructor.
