This program option prepares students for careers in the television, film and Media industry, but emphasizes the Sound/Audio aspect. Through lecture and lab students develop skills in all aspects of sound production: pre-; production; post-. Courses will cover areas such as microphones use; radio broadcasting and writing; software applications specific to sound recording and editing; field production; on-air presentation; interviewing; and digital editing. The emphasis is on exposing students to the wide variety of skills needed to succeed in the broadcast industry, as well as demonstrating the array of possibilities for careers in the ever changing Digital Media field.
