Returning Adult Students
The Office of Returning Adult Services located in the Adult Education Center provides advocacy and support services for STCC students who are of non-traditional age, single parents, and displaced homemakers. Services are designed to facilitate the adult student's adjustment to college and its challenges. The Office of Returning Adult Services provides:
- Walk-in counseling
- Academic advising
- Career planning
- Linkage with college and/or community resources
- TAFDC attendance verification
- Self-help workshops
- Community service/work study opportunities
- Tuition waived summer math/science course(s) (when funding is available)
