STCC Alumni Association Speakers Bureau

Overview: The STCC Alumni Association Speakers Bureau is a dedicated group of STCC alumni who support the college by sharing their professional and professional expertise with our students and community.

When: To meet the request of faculty and staff we seek to host 6-10 individuals as guest speakers between the weeks of October 15, 2013 and November 15, 2013

What: Speakers are being requested for 1 to 2 hour sessions to support current STCC students by participating in:

  • student career awareness events
  • classroom information briefings (team teach/seminar)
  • student recruitment or tour group briefings
  • referral to be interviewed an expert resource to support STCC public relations efforts

Related to the following:

  • Awareness of Career Opportunities and Guidance
  • Workplace expectations and professionalism
  • Importance of Business Etiquette
  • Insights to successfully navigating the hiring process
  • Establishing a personal budget and finance plan
  • Being an effective team player and becoming a future leader
  • Diversity in the workplace
  • Subject expertise job placement skills ( job search, resume, interviewing)
