Alumni Testimonials - Deborah A. Maynard
Since graduating from STCC, I have been working as a Registered Nurse. I worked at a nursing home in Holyoke for the first five years and then I moved to Mercy Hospital where I am currently working on a surgical floor. Two and a half years ago, I enrolled at Our Lady of The Elms College in Chicopee. They were offering an RN to BS program at half price tuition that fit into my work schedule. I graduated last May with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Nursing. Today I am very interested in learning more about holistic nursing. I am a level II Reiki practitioner and I have volunteered my Reiki talents at a few Cancer Support Events. I could not have done any of this without the education that I earned at STCC. The faculty and staff at STCC encouraged me when I needed it and were always there to help me any way they could. I felt safe and cared for at STCC and my experience there gave me the courage and knowledge to move forward in my life to get a good job.
