How to Apply for Financial Aid
Students must complete the free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which takes four weeks to process. The processor mails the student a Student Aid Report (SAR), which is also sent electronically to colleges listed on the FAFSA. All students must complete an STCC Financial Aid Form. The student will also be contacted if any documentation of data is needed.
Our federal financial aid Title IV school code is 005549.
Applications are available year-round; however, because of limited funding, students are urged to apply early. Priority is given to students who file by April 1.
STCC participates in the following federal and state financial aid programs:
- Federal Assistance: Pell Grant, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, College Work Study, Direct Student Loan, and Parent Plus Loan.
- State Assistance: Mass. Grant, Performance Bonus Grant, Part-Time Grant, Tuition Waiver, Cash Grant (STIA).
There are a limited number of scholarships offered by the College and by private organizations in the Greater Springfield area.
Information and applications for these programs are available at the local high schools, Financial Aid Office, and the STCC library.
