As a senior at Central High School, Patrice Gresham knew she would attend college but where was the big question. "I wasn't sure if I should start at a community college or apply directly to a four year college. My friend's mother, grandmother and older sister received their Associate's Degrees from STCC. I only heard good things from them about the student-teacher ratios, quality of education, and economic benefits of attending a two year college. I'm so happy I chose STCC. I've had a number of experiences that I might not have received at a larger school. I've worked in the STCC Writing Center as an English, French and Spanish tutor, performed in a theater production and starred in an STCC TV commercial!"
"My dream career is teaching Spanish language and culture to college level adults. Not only will I be sharing my contagious love of languages, but I will also be able to travel to some of the most beautiful places in the world. STCC's Liberal Arts Transfer Program has more than prepared me for a four year college. And, thanks to STCC's Joint Admissions Program, I'll be attending UMASS/Amherst in the fall as a Spanish major. But what I liked best about STCC is the relationships I've built with the students and the faculty. Everyone at STCC is really out to help one another!"
