Textbook Information

Students are urged not to purchase textbooks prior to the start of classes in case of course cancellation or professor changes. Time will be allotted during the first class meeting to enable students to purchase books.

Student IDs (Fall and Spring semesters only)

You may get your student ID at the beginning of the semester. You need a valid ID to use the STCC library, take placement tests, buy discounted tickets in Student Activities, and join the weight room.

Your student ID also has your student number on it which you will need during your time at STCC. Please bring an official class schedule with you.  IDs are available in the Student Activities and Development area on the first floor of Building 17.

Prerequisite Requirements

You will notice at the end of the course descriptions in this catalog, that some courses have prerequisites. These help to ensure that you are ready for the challenge of the course material and assignments. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet any specified course
prerequisites. If you receive a message indicating that you do not meet the course prerequisites, you may wish to select a different course.

Closed Classes

Please register for your courses as soon as possible. That way, you'll minimize the chance of being unable to create the schedule that you need, because of full class enrollments. If you encounter a full class, you may wish to check its enrollment at a later date, in case space
should become available.
