Visual & Performing Arts
At STCC, Students have many opportunities to be creative. Involvement may be as simple as a five-minute trip to the Amy H. Carberry Fine Arts Gallery, or attending a theatrical performance, or it may become the focus of your studies, such as majoring in Fine Arts or taking Theater classes. Visual and Performing Arts is part of the School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
The Amy H. Carberry Fine Arts Gallery is open to the public and features 6 shows each year. Visitors see a variety of exhibits and attend events during the academic school year. The gallery is housed in Building 28 on the first floor.
The STCC Fine Arts Department includes a Fine Arts major and an Art History concentration. Non-majors are encouraged to take art classes to fulfill a humanities elective. A full list of courses can be found here: http://www.stcc.edu/schedules/?Code=ARTS
Ovations Educational & Cultural Events Series brings locally and nationally acclaimed writers, artists, political figures, and experts in the fields of science and health to campus.
Theater Theater at STCC has been a tradition for forty years. Each semester, we stage a play produced by the College Theater Workshop. Courses can be found in the Theater Department and the English Department
