The artists in this show work with the duality of natural and manufactured, chaotic and structured, freedom and constraint. The works in the show include acrylic, graphite, ballpoint pen, gouache, gicle, and ink. They also include abstract projected video and audio, neon, yarn, driftwood, and crochet thread. The art is in two and three dimensions, affected by light and placement and the relationships that develop when they are grouped into one room. All of these artists speak the same language, but with different accents and colloquialisms and their beautiful and thought-provoking artworks are as varied as fingerprints.

Reception with Artists: TBA

Gallery A3 is a cooperative, contemporary fine art gallery in downtown Amherst, Massachusetts. Its members include painters, sculptors, photographers and mixed media artists. Gallery A3 was founded in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on 9/11. A group of local artists believed art to be essential to the health and healing of a community, and began the gallery as a place to share ideas and artistic support. Since that time, the gallery has been home to over sixty artists.
