Six Photographers includes the photographic work of Ellen Augarten, Jim Bremer, Paul Hetzel, Kate Maldonado, Brian Nolte, and Bill Rowley. Curated by gallery coordinator Sondra Peron, this exhibition offers a wide range of artistic styles, photographic technology, professional backgrounds and ages. From surreal portraiture to traditional printing techniques, abstract polarized light and double exposures to phantom cars, this exhibit features the power of photography by a multitude of practicing photographer.

Each year, the Annual Student Art Work exhibition invites the Fine Arts faculty to select work to showcase their students’ finest portfolios. From colorful paintings to intricate prints, charcoal drawings to traditional gelatin silver photographs, and many other outstanding design projects, all artwork represents the culmination of a semester’s work in the Fine Arts Department at STCC.

On Tuesday, Feb 3 at 12:15pm, there will be a flag raising ceremony just outside B16, immediately followed by a reception at the gallery with light refreshments. This will be your first opportunity to view the exhibition.
Then, on Thursday, Feb 12, from 4 to 7pm, ART & SOUL! This event will include live music, a poetry performance, and a BIG reception. Imo will be present for both receptions, so please take this opportunity to meet this special artist.
In celebration of Black History Month, and in collaboration with the Black Profession Group of S.T.C.C., the Carberry Gallery presents artist-in-residence, Imo Nse Imeh. Large paintings and drawings will be on view from Feb 3 through Feb 27. (Special thanks to Vonetta Lightfoot, Admissions Operations Manager, for helping make this exhibition possible!)
