STCC to host Democratic state senate seat debate Sept. 4

STCC will host a debate for the five Democratic candidates vying for the 1st Hampden and Hampshire District seat on Thursday, Sept. 4 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Scibelli Hall (Building 2) theater.

Democratic candidates Tim Allen, James Chip Harrington, Tom Lachiusa, Eric Lesser, and Aaron Saunders will participate in the debate to be moderated by WGBY's Jim Madigan and rebroadcast on Focus Springfield, Springfield's community television station. Listeners can also tune into WTCC 90.7 FM for live-air coverage of the event.

The debate, also sponsored by WGBY and the Pioneer Valley American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), is free and open to the public.

The Springfield Premiere of Honor Flight, The Movie
Friday, September 26 / Scibelli Hall Gymnasium

‪Honor Flight is a heartwarming documentary about four living World War II veterans and a Midwest community coming together to give them the trip of a lifetime. Volunteers race against the clock to fly thousands of WWII veterans to Washington, DC to see the memorial constructed for them in 2005, nearly 60 years after their epic struggle.‬
