Staff and Faculty Resources during COVID-19

Dear Staff and Faculty:

These are remarkable times, and as we all work collectively to flatten the curve. I write to share information on key resources.

Please know you have the following resources:

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The fluid changes surrounding responses to COVID-19 can be stressful. STCC’s EAP is available for you to confidentially speak with a counselor or to find a referral to a local mental health care provider.

This benefit is available for STCC employees and your qualified household dependents and significant others. The EAP is an invaluable resource you can turn to. Simply call 1-800-451-1834, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm to set up an appointment.  In the event of an emergency, you can call 24-hours a day and speak to a counselor. The EAP counselors are licensed and specifically trained to help and when necessary, refer you to additional appropriate resources.  The EAP offers up to three (3) counseling sessions at locations throughout Massachusetts. If you do need additional resources, the EAP can assist in referring you to a provider on your health insurance plan. If you need assistance that is not covered by insurance, the counselor will recommend services based on your ability to pay.

Call 1-800-451-1834 or to use the smartphone app, contact Human Resources to get a username and password.

The EAP is accessible 24/7 by phone and by app.

Health Benefits

The Group Insurance Commission (GIC) offers guidance and resources related to the COVID-19 outbreak for STCC employees whose health insurance is through GIC.

Please know that the administration here at STCC appreciates all that you do for our students and campus community. We urge you to remain highly engaged with your supervisor. To find the communication shared with the student body please visit
