Digital Audio Broadcasting
Do you love music and working with sound? Students interested in this program are prepared for careers that cover a wide range of broadcast media, but want to emphasize the sound/audio aspect of digital media. Classes develop skills in all aspects of sound production and design such as microphone use; sound Foley and audio sweetening; live sound; radio broadcasting and writing; software applications specific to sound recording and editing; field production and on-air presentation. Students will also learn aspects of video production and media writing.

This program option prepares students for careers in the television, film and Media industry, but emphasizes the Sound/Audio aspect. Through lecture and lab students develop skills in all aspects of sound production: pre-; production; post-. Courses will cover areas such as microphones use; radio broadcasting and writing; software applications specific to sound recording and editing; field production; on-air presentation; interviewing; and digital editing. The emphasis is on exposing students to the wide variety of skills needed to succeed in the broadcast industry, as well as demonstrating the array of possibilities for careers in the ever changing Digital Media field.
Upon successful completion of the requirements for this program, the degree of Associate in Science in Digital Media Production Technology will be awarded.
