The mandatory wearing of masks indoors was reinstated on August 2nd, 2021, for both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals in light of news reports that the COVID Delta variant resulted in a spike of new COVID cases. This coincides with Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and criteria listed in an Advisory by the MA Department of Public Health issued on July 30, 2021, Updated Face Coverings Guidance.
In accordance with the City of Springfield mask mandate, masks must also be worn outdoors if six feet of social distancing cannot be maintained. Masks may be removed for eating and drinking.
The Help Desk has notified all users who are required to upgrade their older devices and/or receive software patches to the most updated version. If you were notified, please make an appointment to schedule your upgrade before you return to campus. For security reasons, older and unpatched devices will not be allowed to connect to the STCC network. When returning to campus for the first time, users should log in to their device on the STCC network and allow sufficient time for updates and other software to sync with the network. This may take some time depending on the number of updates, so please be patient. For quicker and more efficient service, all support requests should go through the help desk system (email@example.com) and not to individual IT staff members.
