For over 50 years, Springfield Technical Community College has prepared more than 39,000 alumni (like Jeff & Jamiel Poindexter, featured above!) to take on the world. Last year, with the help of 109 donors, the STCC Foundation raised over $9400 to support students & transform lives!

"I am a single mother of three boys, work full time, and attend school. I am also in recovery
for a drug addiction, going on four years. College has been an outlet for me. I love to learn new things
and apply what I've learned in my life.
I recently received a scholarship from the STCC Foundation. Going to school, working, and raising my kids - it's a lot. But thanks to a Foundation Scholarship, I will be able to continue my education and build on the strides I have made. Thanks to this gift from generous donors, I have the strength and financial help to finish another semester.
I look at my education like my recovery: one day at a time, knowing the future will be bright!"

STCC is an affordable pathway for area residents to achieve their educational and career dreams. 89% of our students come from Hampden County and 47% of our students come from the City of Springfield. The STCC Foundation is dedicated to making sure no student has to leave the dream of college behind due to financial barriers.

- Area residents and employees seeking professional development, certification, and further education
All money raised on Valley Gives Day in support of the STCC Foundation goes directly to supporting the college mission of "Supporting Students - Transforming Lives."
