Wentworth Institute of Technology
Bachelor of Science Degree in Project Management
Students now have the opportunity to complete a Wentworth Institute of Technology Bachelor of Science Degree in Project Management on the STCC campus. The accelerated program is geared toward professionals looking to advance their careers. Courses will be offered in Springfield and online, giving students the opportunity to pursue their bachelor's degree while also working full-time.
The program is designed to provide project management training for individuals in a broad array of employment sectors - IT, construction, non-profit organizations, social services, and grant-funded projects, to name a few, said Stephen Keller, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. STCC is pleased to partner with WIT to provide this new program offering.
Students in the program will focus on planning, risk management, project evaluation, cost/schedule control, leadership, management, marketing, finance, professional communications, and accounting. As part of this new partnership, students may transfer up to 80 credits of prior education and professional experience to count toward their bachelor's degree.
We are proud to be entering into this partnership with STCC to provide an effective on-ramp for STCC students to continue the pursuit of their educational goals, said Larry R. Carr, Dean of the Wentworth College of Professional and Continuing Education. We share the values of STCC in believing that we are the stewards of something very special - making a difference in the lives of our adult learners and their families through educational programs that are market-driven.
