STCC prepped graduate for art school, fueled passion for fashion photography

Kimani Worghs enrolled at Springfield Technical Community College for the same reasons many students cite: affordability, close to home, easy to fit classes around work and understanding instructors. All of that was true, but what he also found was a college experience that supported, deepened and strengthened his desire to pursue a career in fashion photography.

Moriviví is the theme the Puerto Rican Studies Association adopted this year for its national conference, which is being hosted jointly by Holyoke Community College and Springfield Technical Community College Oct. 14-16. More than 200 scholars, researchers, academics, artists, and others are expected to attend the three-day conference, “Moriviví: Activating Puerto Rican Futures.”
