Academic Advising & Transfer Center
The Academic Advising and Transfer Center provides continuous support guiding students in making informed educational decisions. Academic advisors help students with academic support, career exploration, course scheduling, educational planning, and transfer advising.

Academic Calendar
Important academic dates and events are listed on the Academic Calendar.

ARIES
The ARIES student planning system is the main student online planning tool. Students are able to view grades, register for courses, make changes to their schedules, and manage financial information. ARIES replaces WebAdvisor functions at STCC.

Change of Major
Currently enrolled students who would like to change their program/major need to submit a change of major request through the general online Admissions application.

Registrar's Office
The Registrar’s Office manages student records and provides students services for transcript ordering; class registration for non-degree students; requests to audit a class; enrollment verifications; withdrawal requests; FERPA – permission to release student information; CCGS forms; name change requests; SSN and residency changes; phone number, address, and personal address changes; dean’s list information; MassTransfer block and pathways information; and course offering information.

Testing & Assessment Center
The Testing and Assessment Center provides incoming as well as current students proctored testing services such as placement assessments, CLEP exams, Challenge exams, and HiSET/GED Exams.

TRIO Student Support Services
TRIO SSS provides individual assistance while attending college. TRIO SSS helps students who are first-generation, meet income guidelines, and/or have a documented disability achieve academic and personal success while in college and also prepares them to transition into a career or four-year institution upon completion of their degree. Specific supports include academic counseling, peer tutoring, scholarships, and workshops and events.

Career Services
Career Services provides students with career planning support from full and part-time employment and internship opportunities, assistance with resume and cover letter writing, interviewing techniques, mock interviews, and advising through the entire job search process.

Career Coach
The Career Coach tool offeres a list of work opportunities from partnered employers, detailed job and salary trends for hundreds of in-demand jobs sorted by STCC program and career interests, career assessment tools, and a resume builder.

TRIO Student Support Services
TRIO SSS provides individual assistance while attending college. TRIO SSS helps students who are first-generation, meet income guidelines, and/or have a documented disability achieve academic and personal success while in college and also prepares them to transition into a career or four-year institution upon completion of their degree. Specific supports include academic counseling, peer tutoring, scholarships, and workshops and events.

Childcare Center
STCC hosts an on-campus, private, non-profit child daycare center that serves the children (ages two-years-nine months to five-years) of STCC students, faculty, staff, and the public.

Disability Services
Our Office of Disability Services (ODS) provides accommodations, services, and auxiliary aids to students with disabilities.

Debt Appeal Process
The Office of Student Affairs oversees the Outstanding Debt Appeal process. The process is used to appeal an outstanding tuition and fee debt obligation to Springfield Technical Community College, due to extenuating circumstances.

Scholarships and Awards
The STCC Foundation offers thousands of dollars in scholarships every year to STCC students.

Financial Aid (Student Financial Services)
Paying for college can be overwhelming at times. The Student Financial Service Department is here to assist with all questions regarding the financial aid process, payment arrangements, bookstore vouchers, Ram Cards, and health insurance waivers.

Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse Recovery & Education Resources
You are not alone.  We have resources available to assist you in getting help for alcohol and other drug abuse so that you will be able to concentrate on your college education.

Athletics & Fitness Center
STCC sports intercollegiate men's and women's teams in basketball, soccer, and wrestling as well as intramural and recreational activities. The Fitness Center is available to all currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff.

Campus Safety
The safety of students, faculty, staff, and members of the community on the STCC campus is paramount. Campus Police, campus alert systems, the LiveSafe App, and emergency preparedness guides help keep our campus safe.

Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault & Stalking Resources
You are not alone. STCC provides resources for victims and survivors of domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

Health Compliance
This office assists students and faculty to complete all clinical requirements prior to going into a training site for fieldwork.

Health & Wellness Center
The Health & Wellness Center offers medical services and education year-round to students. The center also tracks health records and will be your point of contact at the college as you gather and submit these records.

Medical Re-entry Process
The Office of Student Affairs manages the Medical Re-entry Process. Any student who takes a medical leave from the College, or is hospitalized while enrolled at College, must comply with the College’s re-entry process before resuming classes.

Mental Health Support
Students with health insurance and an identifying need or desire for personal counseling can be seen by a licensed professional therapist for mental health services.

Self-Care Rooms
Self-care rooms are available on campus for students to use for any lawful healthcare need including lactation, wound care, self-administration of medications, and meditation.

Center for Access Services
The Center for Access Services (CAS) helps students overcome barriers that stand in the way of self-sufficiency, allowing them to succeed and stay in school. CAS connects students to on-campus resources and provides referrals to community social service agencies that help individuals overcome issues including, but not limited to: financial challenges, food insecurity, homelessness, substance abuse, and various state and federal benefits. The CAS office houses services and initiatives, including free school supplies and the RAM Cupboard, which provides groceries and meals to students facing food insecurity.

Getting Started with STCC Account
Before starting classes you will need to access your STCC Account and become familiar with STCC Account systems. Your STCC Account gives you access to log onto ARIES, STCCNet, STCC Gmail, Blackboard, ARIES, Password Manager, STCC computers, and STCC printers. The same username and password are used to log in to all STCC Account systems.

Parking & Transportation
Students can apply for parking permits and PVTA bus passes as well as manage their parking account on the Parking Portal.

Community Engagement
The Community Engagement Office provides students with opportunities to become civically engaged as active and responsible members of our community.

Leadership and Mentoring Initiatives
STCC supports students to become leaders with opportunities such as mentoring groups, student activities and clubs, and a leadership honor society.

Multicultural Affairs
The Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) offers culturally diverse programs and events designed to engage and enrich the campus life experience. The OMA Multicultural Center is a safe, multi-use, academic, and social space that supports positive student engagement through activities, programs, and constructive dialogue related to topics of diversity and inclusion.

Student Activities
The Activities and Development Office provides diverse opportunities for students to become involved in campus life through initiatives such as the Student Government Association (SGA), the Campus Activities Board (CAB), the Student Ambassador Program (SAP), community service projects, a variety of clubs and organizations, and community events and trips.

Library
The STCC Library contains a multitude of free resources for all students including, Chromebook and hotspot lending, access to databases, books, journals, ebooks, films, research guides, and more.

STEM Center
The STEM Center offers academic support for all students taking Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) classes such as virtual one-on-one and group tutoring sessions.

Student Success Center
The Student Success Center offers students one-on-one tutoring available in most subjects, a personal Student Success Coach, online tutoring, and supports for students on academic warning and academic suspension. Your Student Success Coach can help you navigate the responsibilities of being a student, while balancing the demands and nuances of your personal lives.

Supplemental Instruction
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a peer tutoring program in which a peer tutor (SI Leader) is assigned to work with a particular class for the semester. SI leaders are currently enrolled students who offer group and individual review sessions for students outside of class time.

Writing Center
The Writing Center provides all STCC students free peer assistance with writing projects. The Writing Center Supports all courses, all types of writing, and all stages of writing.

Center for Veterans and Service Members
The mission of the Center for Student Veterans and Service Members is to eliminate the barriers to a successful college education by identifying needs, providing support, promoting communication and interaction among, and empowering the success of students with military training and combat experience.
