COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement for Employees

Employee COVID-19 Vaccine Policy of the Massachusetts Community College System

On June 2, 2023, the COVID-19 vaccine requirement will be lifted. Employees will no longer need to provide proof of vaccination as a condition of entry, participation, or enrollment. Certain groups of employees may be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of their clinical or external placements.

STCC employees are required to submit documentation of COVID-19 vaccination. This vaccine requirement is aimed at ensuring the safest learning and working environment possible for all members of the STCC community.

The employee vaccination policy applies to all full and part-time employees including faculty and staff, contract and/or hourly employees, interns, and volunteers regardless of whether work assignments are online or in-person as well as to those consultants, vendors, or business/governmental invitees that have a regular presence on campus and/or routinely interact with students and/or employees, as determined by the College.

You can find a COVID-19 vaccination clinic near you with the Mass.gov Vaccine Finder.

For additional information please see the Return to Campus Frequently Asked Questions page.

Reasonable Accommodations

Employees seeking a reasonable accommodation should submit their reasonable accommodation request and provide necessary documentation as soon as possible.

The Request for Reasonable Accommodations for employees is a two-step process. The first step is to complete and submit required documentation. Carefully review the important information below to ensure that you are able to complete the process.

Step 1

  • Open the Form for Employees Requesting Reasonable Accommodations. A login window appears.
  • Log in with your STCC account username and password. A window appears with your name, date of birth, employee ID, and email address automatically populated.
  • Complete each section marked with a red asterisk (*)
  • Click the Next button.
  • Type your first and last name to certify that you read and understand the Disclosure/Consent and agree to electronically sign the form.
  • Click the Sign Electronically button to submit the form.

You will receive an email confirmation that your documentation has been received and is in process or has been rejected. Please note that this is not an approved request for accommodations. Your file will be reviewed and your document will either be accepted or rejected within 72-hours of submission. Correspondence will be sent to your STCC email. If your document is rejected, more information will be shared about next steps. If you have questions or require additional information regarding your upload, please contact Affirmative Action Officer, Kathryn C. Senie, Director of Compliance, Affirmative Action Officer/Title IX Coordinator, and ADA Coordinator at (413) 755-4749 or kcsenie@stcc.edu.

Step 2

The College will contact you to schedule a date and time for step 2. It is an interactive process to determine if you’re eligible for a reasonable accommodation. The individualized interactive process is estimated to take a minimum of ten (10) business days following the receipt of satisfactory documentation supporting your eligibility for reasonable accommodation.

Employees are encouraged to submit their documentation through the above links, however, employees may also drop off their forms at the HR Office, located in Garvey Hall, Bldg. 16.
