Health Compliance

Health Compliance supports students and faculty to ensure compliance with program and fieldwork (a clinical affiliation, internship, externship, practicum, or field placement) requirements. Our office can help with verifying health clearances, vaccine information, compliance deadlines, criminal background/drug screen questions, and fieldwork onboarding. We work closely with the Health & Wellness Center.

Take advantage of your program's Health Record Requirements Checklist located on the Health and Wellness Center page! Students are expected to remain in compliance with college, program, and fieldwork requirements throughout the duration of their program.

Students are advised to obtain immunity documentation when applying to their academic program or sooner. Some diseases, like Hepatitis B, often require a booster dose before immunity can be confirmed and in some cases require completion of a full second series taking six months or more!

Students must undergo an examination by a licensed physician, Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner within 1 year of the program’s start date. A completed Student Physical Exam Attestation Form specific to the academic program indicating "Cleared for all classroom/lab/fieldwork participation without restriction" is the only accepted form. Access your program's form via the Health Record Requirements Checklist link at the top of this page.

To track the health, program and clinical site requirements for the Nursing Program and newly hired allied health clinical faculty, we use an online document tracking system from a company named CastleBranch. “MyCB” is a secure health document management system to help facilitate compliance tracking, drug testing and background screening services. Health Compliance, as the Administrator for CastleBranch, has developed the following resources:

  • Health Compliance will direct students to order a national criminal background check and drug screening 60-90 days prior to the start of clinical fieldwork or upon notice from the program clinical coordinator, whichever comes first.
  • CORI Acknowledgement Form, background checks are required annually and must be on file prior to registering for classes.
  • N95 Mask Fit Test Instructions
