Allow me to offer a warm and enthusiastic welcome to Springfield Technical Community College.
There are so many unique aspects to STCC and we are proud of our legacy, as well as the ability to look forward. Known for our Workforce Development initiatives, we respond to business and industry needs with unique partnerships such as the TWO initiative. We value all of our nearly 100 programs and I encourage you to investigate our Criminal Justice, Electrical Engineering Technology/Robotics, Laser/Photonics, and Business options, to say nothing of the large and growing Liberal Arts Transfer option for students who springboard from STCC to four-year institutions. We also have over 400 students enrolled across our engineering technology programs, and we offer a wide-array of healthcare-focused degrees and certificates.
In 2015, STCC joined just three other Massachusetts colleges to be named a Hispanic Serving Institution, and we are also an Achieving the Dream Leader College. These designations ensure we continue to think creatively about how to help students persist along their academic paths. Our students enjoy a supportive and vibrant campus culture, and STCC offers athletic opportunities, including both a men's and women's wrestling team. When visiting, you will discover our privilege to share the campus with the Springfield Armory National Historic Site, part of the National Park Service.
Whether you are a new student, on the cusp of graduation, proud alumni, a resident of the region, one of our talented faculty members, or a member of our hardworking staff, we know collectively the importance of technical and community in our name. We offer our sincere thanks for your continued support as we celebrate our 50th year of enhancing our regional workforce and supporting students as they transform their lives.
