Medical Office Administrative Assistant
Medical administrative assistants perform entry-level front office duties in a hospital, medical office, or healthcare-related industry. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, handling incoming calls, scheduling patients, and operating computer systems. Students in this program complete courses in medical office management, electronic health records, medical terminology, and “soft skills” for career readiness and success.

This certificate of completion program prepares students for entry-level employment for front office careers in a medical office (physician, clinic, or hospital). The curriculum includes courses in medical keyboarding, medical word processing, communication skills, and medical office management.
Upon successful completion of the program students are prepared to take the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) examination.
All credits can be transferred into the Office Administrative Assistant Professional - OAAP.AS degree program.
Upon the successful completion of requirements for this program, a Certificate of Completion in Medical Office Administrative Assistant will be awarded.
