Equal Opportunity, Non-Discrimination and Title IX Plan (EOP)

The EOP is a statewide policy adopted by the Board of Trustees of Community Colleges to promote nondiscrimination. At STCC we foster a climate of purposeful inclusion, an environment where all can feel safe, valued, cared for, and given an opportunity to form meaningful connections with each other. We value the diversity of humanity; a diversity which includes but is not limited to the protected classifications of:

Age, Caste, Color, Colorism, Disability, Ethnicity, Gender Identity, Genetic Information, LGBTQIA+, National Origin, Natural and Protected Hairstyles, Parental Status, Persons of Color, Pregnancy or Pregnancy-Related Condition, Race, Racism, Religion, Sex Characteristics, Sexual Orientation, Sex Status and Veteran.

If at any time subsequent to the implementation of this Policy, additional protected classifications are established, individuals in those classifications shall be protected against discrimination under this Policy.

Accordingly, discrimination based on these protected classifications is prohibited. Prohibited conduct is defined in the EOP and includes:

Discrimination, Discriminatory Harassment/Hostile Environment, Retaliation, and Sexual Harassment.
