Endowed Chairs
The mission of Springfield Technical Community College is to provide all segments of the community with academic and technical educational opportunities through both traditional and progressive programs. The primary importance in delivering these educational programs is the commitment to quality instruction delivered by a dedicated faculty engaged in continued professional growth.
The Anthony M. Scibelli and the Joseph J. Deliso, Sr. Endowed Chairs represent a major effort by the STCC Foundation Board to demonstrate its commitment to quality instruction by recognizing and fostering faculty excellence with a cash award.
Goals
- To provide a means of formal recognition of teaching excellence
- To foster excellence in the classroom or academic setting
- To promote the College’s name in connection with excellence
- To strengthen the overall connection between the College and the community
- To bring faculty and business and community leaders together in the recognition of the importance of teaching
