Rendezvous with Rachel Revere
When: 4/11/26, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Location: STCC, Scibelli Hall, Auditorium
What was it like to live through the very beginning of the American Revolution—not as a famous patriot, but as a spouse, a parent, and a person caught in the uncertainty of war?
On Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 1 p.m., the Springfield Armory National Historic Site invites the community to explore that question through a powerful live performance at Springfield Technical Community College’s Scibelli Hall Auditorium—and best of all, it’s completely free.
Acclaimed performer Judith Kalaora, Artistic Director and founder of History at Play, brings history to life in a compelling one-woman portrayal of Rachel Revere, the wife of Paul Revere. Set during the Siege of Boston in 1775, the performance reveals a lesser-known side of the American Revolution—one shaped by separation, uncertainty, and personal sacrifice.
While Paul Revere’s midnight ride is legendary, Rachel’s story is often untold. In this immersive production, audiences will step into her world as she navigates the dangers of a city under siege, separated from her husband and faced with difficult choices. With the fate of her family hanging in the balance, Rachel must weigh the risks of a perilous journey to reunite with her loved ones.
This isn’t just a performance—it’s an interactive experience. Audience members will be invited to engage directly, helping Rachel consider her options and explore the real-life challenges faced by families during wartime.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a student, or simply looking for a unique cultural experience, this event offers a fresh and human perspective on the nation’s founding moments.
