STCC’s Carberry Gallery announces rare fine arts faculty exhibition
The Carberry Gallery features art by faculty at STCC.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Amy H. Carberry Fine Arts Gallery at Springfield Technical Community College is celebrating the college’s 60th anniversary in the 2026-2027 academic year with a rare look at works of art by the fine arts faculty.
This exhibition focuses on the artwork of 11 fine arts faculty members, all working and exhibiting artists, who teach art history, painting, drawing, darkroom photography, 2D and 3D design, and printmaking.

Exhibiting faculty include Paul Bloomfield, Jorge Costa, Jonathan Davila, Caitlin Hurd, Sondra Peron, Frances Riddle, Mike Schultz, Maureen “Mosie” Senn-McNally, Lynn Sisler, Yaning Xing, and Peter Zierlein.

In 1988, the first fine arts graduates of STCC walked in the commencement ceremony. Since that time, the Fine Arts program has graduated 164 students with associate degrees. Graduates can transfer to a four-year program, enter the workforce, or live with an appreciation for art that can last a lifetime.

Today, these eleven faculty members support 76 FINE.AA majors, and over 500 students are enrolled in fine arts courses across all majors this fall. Their commitment to excellence in teaching and artmaking practice makes this program a beacon of creativity and support for artists of all ages in Springfield.
Fall gallery hours: Monday and Wednesday, 12:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday, 1 p.m.-4 p.m., Friday 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and by appointment: speron@stcc.edu. The gallery and all associated events are free and open to the public.
About the Gallery
Endowed in 2003, the Amy H. Carberry Fine Arts Gallery at Springfield Technical Community College features works by artists of local and national repute as well as STCC student work. The gallery is in Building 28, the first floor, on the Pearl Street side of the STCC campus. Parking on campus is available in K lot.
