Henry Knox 250th Anniversary

Hosted by the Springfield Armory NHS, the 250th Anniversary event commemorates Henry Knox's Noble Train of Artillery and will feature:
- Horse- and Oxen-Drawn Cannon Sleds: A rare demonstration showing how heavy artillery was transported across snow and frozen rivers in 1775–76.
- Colonial Militia Reenactors: Living-history interpreters portraying 18th-century soldiers, camp life, and drills.
- Firearms and Artillery Demonstrations: Educational, safety-controlled presentations of Revolutionary-era weapons and artillery practices.
- Continental Arsenal in Springfield Exhibit: Insights into Springfield’s essential role as a supply and manufacturing center for the Continental Army.
- Henry Knox’s Artillery Regiment: Interpretation of the soldiers who carried out the expedition that helped secure Boston.
