Student Workshop--Handmade Paper Clay with STCC fine arts faculty Jorge Costa

During this special paper-making workshop, Jorge Costa will show students how to make paper clay from scratch (using different materials) and how to create paper clay sheets. Toward the end of this workshop, he will demonstrate how to make a simple sheet of paper from scratch.

This workshop will involve both demonstration and hands-on participation from the students, with the goal of each participant leaving the workshop with the knowledge and experience to make their own paper and paper clay.

His exhibition, "ReThreading the Surface: Mark-Making Ecologies," is on view at the Amy H. Carberry Fine Arts Gallery in b28, through Wednesday, Nov 19, 5:00 pm.
