Get answers to common questions about your STCC account, Email, WiFi, and other campus technology.
Accounts and Login
You will receive an activation email from STCC Account Services to the personal email address on file. Follow the link and instructions to activate and set up your account. The activation email is sent after you enroll in a program or register for classes, not after you are accepted. This may take 1-3 days. If the personal email address you provided is incorrect or has changed, please contact the Registrar's Office to update it.
Go to eTools-STCC Account Management at the top of this website. Follow the instructions for self-service password reset or forgot username.
Accounts may be locked due to multiple failed login attempts, inactivity, or security requirements. Contact the IT Help Desk (contact at bottom of this page) to report that your account is locked.
Student Systems - STCCNet Portal & Mobile App, ARIES, Email, Blackboard
The STCCNet portal is a secure online hub where students can access the college’s electronic systems and resources using a single login. It serves as a central starting point for linking to tools such as Email, Blackboard, ARIES, software applications, and other support services.
On your Apple device, search for and download The STCCNet App in the Apple Store. From an Android device in the Google Play console, search for STCCNet App.
ARIES is a self-service student information system used for course planning, advising, registration, adds/drops/withdrawals, grades, unofficial transcripts, financial aid, billing, payments, and tax information.
Click on eTools-STCCNet Portal at the top of this website. Enter your username and password. Once you are in the STCCNet Portal, click on Student Apps and choose Email.
Blackboard is the course management system where class syllabi, assignments, discussions, and communication are posted. You can access Blackboard through the STCCNet portal-Student Apps using your STCC login credentials.
Blackboard courses open one week prior to the course start date. If all or some of your courses do not appear, the instructor has not made them available. If classes have started and your course is still missing, contact your instructor.
WiFi and Network Access
Students can connect to the STCC_Students campus wireless network using your STCC login credentials. Students can also use the STCC_Guest network, but there are bandwidth and time limitations.
Computer Labs and Printing
Yes. STCC provides computer labs equipped with academic software for student use during posted hours. The Open Access Technology Center in B27 is open in the evenings. Check the STCCNet Portal-Information Technology-Student Technology page for a list of labs and hours.
Printing services are available in designated campus locations with a valid RAM card. Printing policies, costs, and instructions are provided on the STCCNet portal-Student Financial Services-Printing page.
Software and Computers
STCC provides access to productivity software, including Google Workspace and Microsoft O365.
STCC has a limited number of devices for temporary loans. Information about loan policies and procedures can be found on the STCCNet Portal-Information Technology-Student Technology page.
Students are not required to purchase a device; however, some programs may require regular access to one. If you plan to purchase a computer, it is recommended that you review the STCC Minimum Computer Requirements Page and program-specific requirements.
