Course Description

This 10 hour construction safety course is intended for entry-level participants. Massachusetts law requires that all employees on a prevailing rate job and all employees who work on public construction sites in Massachusetts have completed an approved OSHA 10-hour course in construction. Each student receives an OSHA 10-hour card upon successful completion. Topic areas covered include: Introduction to OSHA, the OSHA Focus Four Hazards – Falls, Electrocution, Struck-By (e.g., falling objects, trucks, cranes), Caught-In or Between (e.g., trench hazards, equipment), Personal Protective Equipment, Health Hazards in Construction, Excavations, and Ladders. Delivered by a recognized OSHA-10 Construction Safety Instructor.

Suggested Enrollment Process

To Enroll Online:
  1. Click: Online Registration
  2. Click: Search and Register for Workforce Development Classes
  3. Type in OSHA and hit Submit
  4. Click the select box for the course that you want to take. There may be several choices so make sure you select the right course and dates.
  5. Enter your personal and credit card information. Your receipt will be immediately emailed to you, and it will include the Building and Classroom for the course. If it does not, check with our office at 413-755 4225 a few weeks prior to the class to confirm the room numbers.
