Program Description

CompTIA Network+ validates the knowledge and skills of networking professionals. It is an international, vendor-neutral certification that recognizes a technician's ability to describe the features and functions of networking components and to install, configure and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols, and services. Many corporations and organizations recommend or require the CompTIA Network+ certification for their IT employees. As the demand for skilled network support professionals grows, CompTIA Network+ is quickly becoming the standard for networking competency.

The CompTIA® Network+® (Exam N10-008) course builds on your existing user-level knowledge and experience with personal computer operating systems and networks to present the fundamental skills and concepts that you will need to use on the job in any type of networking career. If you are pursuing a career in the IT Infrastructure fields this is a great first step along with attaining your CompTIA A+ Certification. This also the first step towards a Cisco CCENT Certification.

Topics covered in this program include Network Fundamentals, Network Protocols, TCP/IP subnetting, VoIP, Wireless networking, network troubleshooting, Infrastructure installation, and maintenance.
