Marketing is an increasingly important business activity, particularly in New England with its growing emphasis on the providing of services. Marketing students learn about business by taking courses in accounting, finance, marketing and management. A variety of advanced marketing courses are available including Consumer Behavior, Advertising and Promotion, and Marketing for the Internet. To prepare for the workplace, students use computer applications in every course and develop their “soft skills” – communicating, collaborating, and teamwork. In addition, career exploration is available through exciting internship opportunities. Many students go on to finish their bachelor degrees while others obtain entry level jobs in their field of interest.
