STCC food pantry receives gift from Stop & Shop for summer relief

Springfield Technical Community College received another donation from Stop & Shop to support the Ram Cupboard, the emergency food pantry to help students facing food insecurity. Stop & Shop has made previous donations to the Ram Cupboard. The latest gift of $1,000 for “summer relief” brings the total to $13,500.

STCC receives $35,000 grant for COVID-19 relief

Springfield Technical Community College has received a $35,000 grant to help students affected by the COVID-19 health crisis. The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts awarded the grant through the COVID-19 Response Fund for the Pioneer Valley. STCC was one of several organizations to receive financial help in the latest round of awards through the COVID-19 Response Fund.

STCC student accepted in NASA summer academy

STCC student Aminah Bergeron was accepted to participate in the NASA Lucy Student Pipeline Accelerator and Competency Enabler (L’SPACE) Mission Concept Academy – Summer 2020 Program. It’s the second big opportunity Bergeron has had with NASA. In early March, Bergeron attended the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) Onsite Experience at Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.
